Florida Theatre
From July to October of 2023, the historic Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville, FL underwent a rigorous $15 million dollar renovation. With Clark Advisory Services serving as the Theatre’s representative, this major undertaking replaced the Theatre’s 1,865 fixed seats, improved lighting and wheelchair accessibility, as well as installing a new concert sound system. Managing the ambitious schedule, CAS fast-tracked critical tasks that included constructing sixth-floor offices, bathroom renovations, ceiling and wall repairs, 2 chiller installations, a rooftop air handler, and circuit panel replacements. Converting the 2nd floor office space into the new Remedy Lounge, this 3,000 square foot lounge is the first expansion of the venue’s public space in 95 years.
Borland Groover Orange Park and St. Augustine
Fully redesigned 27,000sf space, the Borland Groover Ambulatory Surgical Center in Orange Park two-story building required a full frame up build-out, structural frame, and interior and exterior demolition. In collaboration with the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), the design prototype is now being applied to develop a second Ambulatory Surgical Center and Medical Office located in St. Johns, Florida. Renovations included full interior and exterior office, surgical, and clinical exam room spaces (16-bed PACU), 30 exam/evaluation rooms, nurse stations, nourishment stations, patient drop-off/pick-up vehicle canopy, ADA and new finishes throughout the remodel, and a redesign of site parking and hardscape. Construction cost: $11,000,000.
Vicars Landing at Oak Bridge
The initial phase of the Vicars Landing at Oak Bridge senior living expansion, spanning 424,000 square feet, featured the construction of two “Flats” buildings, offering a total of 66 apartments, alongside 47 villas in duplex and triplex configurations, and a clubhouse covering 20,000 square feet. The overwhelming success of the marketing efforts for this phase allowed for seamless progression to the construction of an additional “Flats” building in Phase 2. Future plans are set to include facilities for assisted living with 14 beds, memory care with 18 beds, and yet another “Flats” building. Additionally, the upcoming phase is expected to introduce a 14,000 square foot multipurpose shell space, suitable for a health clinic, a quaint restaurant, or other potential uses.
