The project involved two distinct facilities constructed through design-build agreements. Leading construction activities was the Emergency Operation Center, which includes a facility capable of providing county-wide emergency responder communications through sustained Category-5 force storms. The new facility provides complete system-wide redundancies and a comprehensive communication platform built to CJIS, FTAC and FEC standards. Neighboring this project is the new 40,000-SF Sheriff Administrative Building, which includes a new state-of-the-art records facility with full backup power generation, secure evidence areas, administrative and training rooms, as well as a detached vehicle maintenance facility, and vehicle fueling yard.
